ABCMI and COAST Defence and Security Innovation Forum | April 21 - 22, 2026

Niki Kearl, CRO at Open Waters Solar, will be speaking at the ABCMI & COAST Defence & Security Innovation Forum as part of the Startup Showcase.

The forum takes place April 21–22 in Vancouver, bringing together the Royal Canadian Navy, Canadian Coast Guard, and industry leaders to focus on the future of defence and maritime innovation in Canada.

Kearl will present on Day 2, April 22, from 10:30–12:00, alongside a group of emerging companies shaping the sector, including Offshore Designs, Seahawk Robotics, Mostar Labs, ENVGO, and OnDeck AI.

The session will highlight the role of startups in advancing marine and defence capabilities in British Columbia.

Open Waters Solar develops composite solar technology engineered for mobility, designed for marine, defence, and autonomous systems where durability and performance are critical.
